Minutes describe the workings and activities
of the privately funded and incorporated Community Service Bureau of
Belleville, a social and family welfare association founded on December 18, 1928,
in Belleville, Essex County, New Jersey. Belleville is just outside of Newark. The
volume chronicles the work of the Bureau during the Depression Years and the
beginnings of World War II providing relief, visiting nurses and health and
medical care to residents of Belleville.
