Manuscript Medical Lecture Notes kept by an unidentified Student at the University of Maryland Medical School 1886-1888

two volumes, octavo, 168 and 142 pages, plus blanks, bound in original marbled board and ¼ cloth blank books, volumes worn and shaken, boards rubbed, text inscribed in pencil, occasional sketches and drawings, some smudging but quite readable.

Manuscript lecture notes for classes at the University of Maryland Medical School in obstetrics under George Warner Miltenberger (1819-1905); surgery under Louis McLane Tiffany (1844-1916); physiology under Frances Turquand Miles; and anatomy under Jacob Edwin Michael.

Lecture notes for some of the University's great professors, several of whom were consulting physicians at Johns Hopkins.
